This is my first exposure to Polish Blues and very good it is as well. I have not got a clue as to what kind of scene there is in that part of the world but this duo has been listening, and listening well. According to the sleeve notes they had no clear plan of what they wanted to achieve however, apart from the pronounced accent, this CD could have come from deep in the Mississippi basin or anywhere along its banks. Adam "Coolish" Kulisz handles all guitar and vocal work whilst Michal "Cielak" Kielak blows a mean Blues harp. What I like about this album is the fact that is has been recorded very, very simply. As a result it is real, rough and indeed raw. There is no doubt that Adam sings with a vocal passion that is heartfelt and owes a lot to John Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters. I particularly liked 'Everyday' and 'Blues Is The King' and you could really join the two end tracks together as Adam bares his soul on 'When I'm Sad' he plays the Blues and then begs his lady to join him during 'Come To me Baby'. All songs are self penned and, whilst it is true that we have heard the sentiments thousands of times before, somehow with the Blues it always works magically on you so that it sounds as fresh as when you first experienced the feelings yourself. These recordings come from a session done in August 2005 and I think this could be the only recorded works so far released. However the guys are still working together now augmented by drummer Tomkek Karkoszka under the name K3. Good stuff.

Pierwszy raz mam styczność z polskim bluesem, a jest on bardzo dobry.
Nie miałem pojęcia jaka scena bluesowa istnieje w tej części świata, ale widać, że ten duet słuchał i słuchał dobrze. Według notatek na marginesie można sądzić, że nie mieli planu co chcą osiągnąć, ale gdyby nie wyraźny akcent ta płyta mogłaby pochodzić z delty Mississippi lub gdzieś z miejsca wzdłuż jej brzegów.
Adam "Coolish" Kulisz gra na gitarze i śpiewa, natomiast Michal "Cielak" Kielak na harmonijce. Podoba mi się w tej płycie to, że została nagrana bardzo, bardzo prosto.W rezultacie jest prawdziwa, szorstka i naprawdę surowa. Nie ma wątpliwości, że Adam śpiewa z serca i zawdzięcza wiele Johnowi Lee i Muddy Watersowi. Szczególnie podobały mi się "Everyday" i "Blues Is the King", a te końcowe ścieżki połączone są utworem, w którym Adam odkrywa swoją duszę- "When I'mSad" oraz tym, w którym błaga swoją panią by do niego dołączyła "Come To me Baby". Wszystkie piosenki to historie "samopiszące się", ale to prawda, że mimo iż słyszeliśmy juz te sentymenty tysiące razy, jakoś blues magicznie potrafi tchnąć w nie życie, dzięki czemu brzmią tak świeżo jakbyśmy po raz pierwszy sami przeżywali te uczucia. Nagrania te pochodzą z sesji, która miała miejsce w sierpniu 2005 i wydaje mi się, że może to być jedyna, wydana do tej pory płyta. Choć ci goście ciągle pracują dalej, obecnie ze wsparciem perkusisty Tomka Karkoszki pod nazwą K3.Dobra robota.
